PACK OF 4 I purchased a case of these from an online vendor to stash with the rest of my food storage. The unmolested foil packages were stored in a climate controlled room with very little fluctuation in temperature and humidity. When purchased, all were freshly packaged and well sealed.Nine months later half of the packages had lost their seal. I contacted Datrex and received very polite and prompt communication. They advised that I throw out the rations that had lost their seal as they may have gone bad. There was no offer to replace the rations. I went ahead and opened one of the remaining packs to take a taste. Very good for an emergency ration, but I have no confidence in this product. It's standard issue in many lifeboats. It does not require cooking and is moist enough so that it's not thirst provoking. *WARNING!* Contains coconut, and not just a trace. Do NOT buy or consume if you have coconut allergies!
