The grip on this light is comfortable but the battery makes it pretty heavy to carry for any length of time. The battery life is excellent, which is consistent with all the batteries in this B&D collection. With the low draw from the flashlight, this can last a long time between charges. The beam is just ok. Fairly bright and doesn't dim too quickly off the battery. The beam is somewhat diffuse so it's good for about a 20 foot radius. Black and Decker is the cheapest of all multi-tool to one battery brand. For me, the craze started with a Leaf Sweeper that was battery powered. The "Leaf Blower" only works for 30 minutes and loses most of it's power within the first 15 minutes or so. Anyway, I bought a set that included a drill, hand vac, flashlight and another battery. The hand vac is a joke, while the rest I have found very useful. Surprisingly, the flashlight was the best purchase of all. The light is brighter than most cheap large flashlight and it's design makes it perfect for many different jobs. Sadly, after a couple of years of use the bulb has finally blown. Normally, this would be no big deal, but THERE are no common Replacement BULBS! I have looked everywhere. The only place that I have found with replacements offer them at $2 a bulb or 10 for $15 with $7 shipping.
