However, we did not get a chance to use it in the great outdoors until she was close to 22 months. In the mean time she played with her "sleep bag" quite a lot right in our living room. So I will speak to its durability first, then its outdoor use.We were quite pleased when we received this sleeping bag because it is well made. Zipped up it is snug without being too snug, particularly because it has a zipper pull on both the top and bottom so it can be opened on the bottom for foot breath-ability without sacrificing the warmth up top. The pouch meant for creating a make-shift pillow under the head section is perfect for holding in a medium sized-stuffed animal with velcro as a pillow. Admittedly, it is not a heavy-duty velcro, however I'm not sure that is what we would want anyway. The zipper itself glides quite well without snags. She loves it -- she is tiny for her age and we expect we'll get lots of years of use, based on it being roomy and well-made. It isn't too "cutsie" and thankfully not pink (for a change). The contrasting embroidery is nice -- visible but not too much. The built-in bag and handle is a nice touch and the bag fits easily but is snug.We haven't tried it for actual camping yet, but think it would be great for car camping or cool weather camping. We're glad this is the one we ordered. |
